This is a high-contrast version of a Spitzer Space Telescope image, showing a carved-out cloud of gas and dust that has been nicknamed the "Jack-o'-lantern Nebula." In this high-contrast image, the red wavelength is more pronounced. The picture highlights contours in the dust as well as the densest regions of the nebula, which appear brightest.
